It’s no secret that the kickers in the NFL are some of the best in the world.
But for many, there’s one kicker in particular who has proven to be the most dominant of them all: kicker Brandon McManus.
The former San Diego State kicker was named the 2014 NFL Most Valuable Player for his career in which he has amassed a record of 38-20 in just over 18 years.
In his third year with the San Diego Chargers, McManuses form is being heralded as one of the most electrifying in the game.
The 23-year-old has proved himself to be one of football’s most dominant kickers over the last two seasons, and is in line to earn his second consecutive Pro Bowl nod.
Here’s a look at what the league’s best kicker has been up to in 2016:The former SDSU kicker also has been named to the All-Pro team for each of his first two seasons.
He’s also been named a finalist for the Walter Camp All-American Team and has been voted to the Pro Bowl in each of the past three years.
McManus was born in South Dakota, but moved to the U.S. at the age of five to attend high school.
He started his career with the Vikings, but was released in 2014 after suffering a knee injury that kept him out of the 2014 season.
After playing in just two games in his first year, McMartinus started 15 games the following season and made his mark with a career-best 24-for-34 and a team-best 90.5 percent field goal percentage.
After the 2016 season, McGuises knee injury was not as severe and he was able to play for the Chargers and the Vikings in 2017.
In 2018, he made his debut with the Broncos and has gone on to record a career high-tying 16 field goals in 20 attempts, which is tied for third in the entire NFL.
McGuises season has been particularly impressive.
He has also been recognized with numerous accolades for his work with the Chargers.
Mcguises most recent performance came against the Cowboys in Week 16.
After missing the first two field goals of the game, Mcguises missed all three field goals for the game and also finished with two field goal attempts.
The Chargers have been very good at finding McManes field goals, and they’ve been rewarded by being named the NFL’s Most Valued Player for the second consecutive season.
The Chargers are in first place in the AFC West with a 10-3 record this season.
McMahon’s record as a kicker in this season’s NFL is a career best.
He is one of only seven players to ever record at least 25 attempts, 30 yards and five field goals on a regular-season Sunday.
McDona was selected by the Chargers with the fifth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
He was a three-time All-America and All-Big East selection who earned All-Defensive First Team honors for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
McDONA has also appeared in 10 postseason games, making five starts.
He started every game in 2016 and played in five playoff games, including the final two against the Steelers.
Mcdona has a long track record of success in the kicking game, as he is a three time All-Americans selection who has won two Super Bowls.
McDonald has also had success with his kickoffs, as the Chargers were named the NFC’s Most Dangerous Kickers for the 2017 season.
McDona is averaging a career low of 2.2 yards per kick this season, and has a career worst 10.7 kickoffs attempts per game.
McDonnell was drafted by the Broncos in the fourth round of the 2016 draft.
The former Boise State star has been a regular starter since his rookie season and has recorded at least one field goal in each season since the start of the 2017 campaign.
McConnell has also played in three postseason games.
He made his NFL debut in Week 5 against the Patriots.
He missed the first field goal of the first half on a botched kick, but then made the game-winning field goal on a 27-yarder in overtime.
McConnels career high with four field goals and seven extra points came in Week 17 at New England.
McConnors career high is five field goal tries and six extra point attempts in the Broncos win over the Rams in the divisional round of this season and is a franchise record for field goals made in one game.
McConnors fourth career field goal was on a 37-yard field goal attempt against the Falcons in Week 11.
McGinley has been the Broncos kicker for the past two seasons and was named to his third All-Conference First Team selection last year.
McGilmore was selected in the second round of last year’s draft by the Steelers and has appeared in three games in 2017, totaling one field-goal attempt.
