Los Angeles Kings defenseman Chris Stewart will miss at least 1 game due to shoulder injury

LAKE FOREST, Ill.

— Los Angeles defenseman Chris “Cyborg” Stewart will not be available for Saturday’s game against the Calgary Flames, coach Darryl Sutter said Friday.

The Kings have already announced that defenseman Trevor Lewis will miss Friday’s game because of a lower-body injury.

Sutter said on Friday that he had no further updates.

The team is still in the process of deciding what to do with Stewart, who was the Kings top defenseman when he was with the New Jersey Devils last season.

The 31-year-old is expected to miss the rest of the season, and will not have a chance to return until sometime in the fall.

He was a second-round pick by the Kings in 2008.
