NBA champion LeBron James has said he hopes to return to the NBA Finals next season after spending the past two years in the NBA D-League.
James was drafted No. 1 overall in 2013 and the reigning NBA MVP has made the NBA and professional leagues a priority for the past three years.
James had two consecutive seasons with more than 20 points in the final week of the regular season, including two 20-point games in the last two games of the 2016-17 regular season.
James returned to the D-league last season, and he said he wanted to play in the playoffs again.
The 26-year-old averaged 22.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in his D-leaguewide debut in March of 2019.
He finished the season with 16.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.
The former Cleveland Cavaliers star said he plans to participate in the 2018 NBA Draft.
James and the Cavs will have to earn a playoff berth to be in a playoff spot for the first time since 2016-18.
